Château D'Yquem

This year was colder than average from March clear through to November. Flowering was late and slow, and there was a great deal of coulure. It was very dry as well from August to November, enough so that botrytis was rare and discreet. The harvest was quite late, from the 25th of November to the 7th of December. Yields were very low and production tiny. Just 20% of the crop was sold under the Yquem label after a rigorous selection process.
